Pedro Félix is a software engineer working in sunny Lisbon, where he deploys both code and knowledge.
He's also a professor at the Lisbon Polytechnical Institute, where he teaches Web Application Development and Concurrent Programming courses.
Pedro started his professional career in the mid–90s, developing and teaching about embedded systems using the x86 assembly and C languages.
Since then, has been climbing up the stack until reaching the Web.
After spending more than one decade working with .NET, he has been living mostly in server-side JVM land for the last year.
Currently, his main interests are in the area of Web APIs and asynchronous programming, namely: HTTP server and client frameworks, Web API design, Identity and Access Control Management, and asynchronous programming.
In 2014, he co-authored the "Designing Evolvable Web APIs with ASP.NET" book, published by O'Reilly.
